The Bowen Technique is a unique and gentle hands on therapy consisting of light rolling type moves (over light clothing) which aim to disturb the muscles and soft tissue. The treatment affects the body in ways which help to relieve tension, reduce pain and initiate the healing process.

The aches, pains and discomfort we experience in life are all a gentle sign to tell us that some form of relaxation and realignment is needed. Usually we carry on through this discomfort and at a later time find ourselves with a more serious ailment e.g. muscular skeletal disorders, stress and tension based problems, hayfever or bronchial symptom. At this later point we have no choice but to get help. Bowen can be effective at either stage and is gentle enough to be suitable for babies with colic up to the elderly with long-term pain.

About Jeanette: I have worked with children and the elderly for the last 25 years. In 2002 I discovered ‘The Bowen Technique’ after receiving some treatment for myself. I was so impressed that I took up the training and have now been practising for 5 years. I would love to make this unique treatment available for everyone.
